Introducing… Daniel

Name: Dan Lucas

Junior Developer (12-month University sandwich year placement)

Most of my working life so far has been spent in supply chain logistics working for Caterpillar and its subsidiaries specialising in account management and customer service. A couple of years ago I decided to embark on a career change after desiring a more technology based role and as a result, I am currently two years into a Business Technology degree at Man Met. It has been a great opportunity to expand on my existing skills and incorporate more technically minded disciplines such as web development, system development and data analytics.

How do you define success?

Some people focus on the physical products of success such as money or whatever but I think it has a lot to do with how many options you have available to you. Working as part of a talented team, seeing ideas come to fruition and achieving things together.

Having your cups of tea marked out of 10. It’s a stressful few moments!
