Welcome to the new ‘Introducing…’ feature on our website, where we will be exploring what makes the Bee Industrious team tick. This month, Nick is in the spotlight.


Name: Nick

Role: Managing Director – responsible for overseeing business and providing the strategic direction and insights on projects.



  • Set up my own online marketing business at 17 with Lewis! (our Director of Support Services)
  • Degree in Marketing Management at MMU, currently in first year of three year Exec MBA at the University of Bolton.
  • 15 years plus experience in senior marketing, commercial and strategy roles working for agencies and clients – such as Momentum WW (part of McCann Group), Exxon Mobil, Hilton Hotels, SABIC, British Touring Car Championship, Millers Oils, PennWell, Just Marketing and Leukaemia Lymphoma Research.


Can you describe Bee Industrious in three words?

Dynamic, Industrious, Insightful


How do you define success?

Success is reaching a point, where you know you have done your best and achieved a solution which you had only hoped for…. And for others to agree with that assessment!


What is the best book you have ever read?

Leadership & Management – a gift from Akin (who runs our Nigerian office) when I first met him.


What is the best place you have travelled to?

Patagonia, in particularly El Calafate. It’s like the Lake District on Steroids with a serenity which is addictive.


Where is your hometown?

Altrincham or Manchester – depending on who is asking!


What would you do for a career if you weren’t doing this?

I think I would spend a year travelling the globe, and then come back with a more imaginative answer!


What do you find most challenging about your job?

Balance. We have grown so quickly in a short period of time, we are constantly having to find balance in everything we do.


Best part of my job is… worst part of my job is…

Best: Solving a problem and creating an opportunity….

Worst: Having another problem to solve!

What advice would you give to your self 10 years ago?

Don’t be afraid to take the jump. Also, buy more property.
